My Name Is Khan to the media to tell the world what really happened in the United States at that time. But then came the events of September 11 was hurt. Mark, their neighbors reporter, assigned to cover the war in Afghanistan, and killed there. Rizwan was sincerely doing that job. He wandered alone. In the wanderings, he had attended an open event which was attended by President George W. Bush. He approached the president while continuing to shout: My name is Khan, I am not a terrorist. Have not heard Bush's cry, the guards to subdue him because of suspected terrorists.
What he experienced, really painful: he entered the room with the hot temperature, then transferred to a very cold room. Various other punishment he should receive. Yet ultimately he should be freed because no proven as terrorists. It was also thanks to the help of three journalists from India.
Name Rizwan then bounced into a hero on television, for helping residents of a village hit by floods in Georgia. Incidentally villagers were black people and did not get assistance from anywhere. After a crowded news on television, help comes from Muslims who coordinated Haseena and her husband, Zakir.
This scene was apparently inspired flash flood tragedy in New Orleans due to inundation of Hurricane Katrina in 2005. The majority of flood victims are black people and days can not help from the government. This event led to harsh criticism of President Bush's buffeted by the colored people especially from the United States.
